What is a WiFi Access Point Device?
A WiFi Access Point device is a gadget that helps to connect Wireless internet to other network-enabled devices at multiple levels within a building.
How does a WiFi Access Point Device work?
You must install a main modem with router (Streamyx) before installing the WiFi Access Device.
This main modem with router is usually connected to a wired network as a standalone device. This can be placed on Level 1 (as shown in the diagram) or wherever the internet connection is the strongest.
WiFi Access Point Device can be placed on Level 2. It receives the wireless internet connection from the main modem with router situated on Level 1. This device allows the internet signal on Level 2 to be much stronger as WiFi Access Point device acts as a Repeater, Booster and a Router.
